Yes, some years back. My eclipse got nailed. I do t remember it costing me much as ins picked up most of the tab. Came out looking great, but then again, I had a relative looking out for me in the car biz.

So to sum up, you're considering spending $4800 to repair a vehicle that in near perfect condition is worth maybe $9k max (www.kbb.com). And that doesn't even include the cost for loss of use of the vehicle when its in the repair shop (which will likely be a couple weeks minimum). You'll likely be money ahead if you take the insurance check and find something else.

This here. Buddy of mine bought a used pickup with hail dents. Had a guy come out and maybe $200 later, you couldn't tell that even a feather had ever hit the truck.
