Had it for quite some time, now, on the AR, but never knew about the strobe function, until tonight, when I was practicing room clearing and accidentally did the double tap on the momentary switch. And, voilà.

That is all. Roll Eyes

Yep. It's not policy at work, but every single one of us turns off the strobe function.

What I expect out of a flashlight;
The switch is easy to find and easy to operate. When it is on, one touch of the switch will turn it off (when someone is shooting at me).
If any "special procedures" are required to operate it, I don't want it.

Yeah, I had to get rid of that feature too.

"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."

The strobe function on Streamlight WMLs could be useful when dealing with an aggressive animal but it won't do anything to help your marksmanship. It can be just as disorienting to you as it is to whomever your pointing it at.

I'm not worried about seizures, but the strobe function is useless to me and annoying. It's programmed off on all of mine.
