chillin out |
Our dog had serious seizures for 6-7 years, even with all his meds(phenobarbital and potassium bromide). Gal at General Supply in town talked me into trying Victor. Shortly after his seizures stopped and he hasn't had one in over 2 years. I don't know if Victor had anything to do with it but I'm not switching to anything else. He is 11 and gets senior healthy weight mix. I practice Shinrin-yoku It's better to wear out than rust out Member NRA Member Georgia Carry

Once, my wife made a dozen chocolate cupcakes to take to a friend's house. She sat them on the table to cool off before putting icing on them & went upstairs to change clothes. When she came back a few minutes later, our chocolate lab pup had eaten the whole batch, paper cup thingies & all. ------------------------------------------------ "It's hard to imagine a more stupid or dangerous way of making decisions, than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong." I’ve been VERY pleased with Victor, I think fresh foods are certainly healthier than dog foods but I simply can’t find the Victor anymore consistently. When I get another 50lbs I’ll likely supplement her food with about 50/50 fresh and dry. 10 years to retirement! Just waiting!

ORC, Don’t be taking the dog’s side! She’s still a puppy so she sleeps in her crate but we have a routine where she gets about 2 minutes of loving while she rests on the arm of the chair in front of the door to go out. It’s her routine every time she wakes up, mornings and after her daily nap. This is her just a few minutes ago while I’m trying to finish my coffee, she gets plenty of attention and is pretty much Velcro on me when im home. This has been the case for all my heelers, but hey are pretty attached to their one “person”. 10 years to retirement! Just waiting!

Great looking pup - deserves nothing but the BEST! I can tell you're a dog person by the floor. I like it. ________________________ God spelled backwards is dog

It's kind of funny! I've come to the conclusion that our dogs have always actually been training ME to do stuff for THEM. ------------------------------------------------ "It's hard to imagine a more stupid or dangerous way of making decisions, than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong." Our 2 Boxers eat pretty well. My wife cooks for them once a week. 93% lean ground beef, organic ground turkey, boiled chicken. She'll cook the above and add some green beans and carrots. Then shell divide them up into individual 4 oz. Rubbermaid containers and freeze them. Then they each get 1.25 cups of Chicken Soup for the Soul grain free kibble and 1 of the containers of precooked food mixed up. They get this twice per day. At least once per week they'll get the kibble with a can of chunk lite Tuna in water split between the 2 of them. this is usually with some shredded carrots or peas. Once in a while they'll get a can of Wellness dog food (beef, chicken or lamb) in the kibble, split between the 2 of them, instead of the precooked stuff. If the wife does a pot roast or brisket in the crock pot she'll take some of the meat and carrots and separate it and place it in a separate bag before she adds the onions and mushrooms to the pot. So, they get pot roast or brisket when we do. Their favorites are hamburger, pot roast and brisket. Oh, and some pieces of Buckhead beef filet when we are having that for dinner. That is just a treat though, not their meal.

Haha, she is a sweet. sweet girl. You are luck to have her. She looks happy. Our pups get Iams with canned mixed vegies and whatever meat we mix into it. Stew meat, burger, etc. With a bit of water for gravy. They are pretty happy too "Practice like you want to play in the game"
