How does seeing that memorial equate to 6 weeks in hell? ____________________________________________________________ If Some is Good, and More is Better.....then Too Much, is Just Enough !! I get into the city around once every five years or so. Usually by bus to Port Authority. Always for a play. That is enough of NYC for me. Living the Dream

I've only been in New York City a few times and I saw one play, Chicago. I've got to say I haven't seen that quality of acting since my Junior High School play.

While in NYC be careful not to read the New York Times as it will make you insane. U.S. Army 11F4P Vietnam 69-70 NRA Life Member

While In the Port Authority Terminal, I noticed it. I am on an assignment for 6 weeks in Manhattan. Not the place I want to be these days. There is no equating, I just noticed a relatively obscure memorial while I was in there. _________________________

Make the best of it, NYC has some of the best food of any big city in the world. Don’t forget to get a NY slice, LOL!

This place has great pastrami sandwiches and homemade dill pickles. Plus, you can moan all you want while eating it.

That was the first play I had seen in the city. My farher-in-law treated us. We had dinner in a crazy small basement restaurant. For 4 of us the bill was over $800. Living the Dream

Yeah, but don't lose your ticket. Go tp Peter Luger's for a steak. Among many other great eats. I wouldn't mind a short term assignment in NYC, not at all. Museums, shows, concerts . . . The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

Don’t go to Peter Luger’s for heaven’s sakes … My son used to work across the street at the Davidoff of Geneva store. It’s a tourist joint. Joe’s Shanghai Café - if it’s still there in Chinatown. Get the soup dumplings… Watch the video on how to eat them before you try. It’s cash only. There’s generally a line out the door. I've been to NYC 3 times: 1964 for the World's Fair; 2004 and 2005 with choral groups, to sing at Carnegie Hall. Enjoyed the trips, but have no desire to return. The food there does not interest me -- I'm a "farm food" person (meat and potatoes), and hate cheese (don't eat pizza). Also not a fan of Broadway plays. flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

Thank you Very little |
NYC is a great place, culture, food, history, don't equate the gun laws and crazy politics with everything, we tend to do that, but as posted her there are fantastic things to do, eat, see, explore. McSorleys Old Ale House - go here, get a couple of ales, some crackers onions and cheese, been there since 1854, until 1970's lawsuit, no women..... https://mcsorleysoldalehouse.nyc/
