My B&M is Liberty Tobacco, here in San Diego. It’s a unique place – lots of guys sitting around smoking, mostly cigars. Talking, and watching sports on the TV screens. Drinking coffee from the store coffee pot (supported by contributions). A table for card players. Literature supporting conservative candidates, and advice about California ballot propositions.

Not too long ago, I was there when a big black guy, one of the regulars, entered. “Where are the white women?”, he demanded. That got a big laugh. Not only were no white women present, no women of any sort were present. As I said, it’s a unique place, especially nowadays.

There used to be a place in Albany, NY called edleez. Might still be there.

I used to go in there to buy mint pouches and I just loved the smell when I walked in. Dang near made me want to start again.

Not smoking as many cigars as I used to. Wish we had a fun cigar lounge anywhere nearby.

When I go to Reno I visit Fumare , one of THE nicest smoke shops going. Always an interesting group to chat with.

Theres a second shop on Virginia street, in a mini mall thats nice as well, just smaller; Hatuey.

Liberty Tobacco, here in San Diego

Is that the place in the old town section, a few blocks from all those good restaurants, and a few blocks from the San Diego Sheriff's Museum?

No, Liberty Tobacco is on the south side of Clairemont Mesa Blvd, about 3/4 miles east of I-805. In the SW corner of the Independence Square strip mall.

One wouldn't think a small town like ours would have a place like this. Then again we get 2M tourists per year. Smile

Check out the photo gallery as well as the photos of the private event spaces!

Luxurious smoking areas, full service bar, and entertainment!

Tobacco Grove in Minnesota fits the bill that the OP describes. My home-away-from-home.

The place I go to replenish my humidor is Church Hill Fine Cigars on the corner of Camelback and 44th Street in Phoenix. Damn good selection of cigars plus an alcohol lounge. Nice place hang out, watch the games, smoke a few and enjoy a fine scotch.

I will hit Maison Edwards in Ann Arbor when I have a little ME time. 4 chairs, ash trays, decent humidor, eclectic music overhead and good conversation with Chuck the owner. The baby faces that come in from the U, not so much. Razz

It’s still here, I enjoy a short story there once in a while.

It has ambience, especially near Christmas time, they put out a bunch of treats.
