Thought this was interesting:

Kansas sporting goods/gun sales up 200+%. Others typically 20-70% with Michigan, AZ, Maine, TN up 80% or more compared to the same time last year. If the map doesn’t display right try dragging it with your finger on phone or turning your phone sideways/landscape.

I watched as 9mm ammo sold out in about 8 minutes on Lucky Gunners website.

They had about 100 each 500-round packs of Blazer Brass, which was all they had total of any kind. I kept refreshing the page every minute.

This is INSANE Eek

I couldn't imagine having such a cash infusion as selling out my entire inventory to cash buyers all in one day.
Wow.

Over 8500 and climbing in queue for background checks right now in Colorado. They were under 7000 for a little while today.

I hope this phenomenon will make people consider the importance of RKBA and 2A issues in future elections

Was in Cabelas today, on my lunch break, and noted the ammo shelves were nearly empty, with exception to .38 super, lol. Also, the used gun cases were extremely thin.

Last I heard guns cannot be made from home (okay, I'll now hear from the 80% guys, but that's no where I'm going.) As states force businesses to close, gun manufacturers
(oh, ammo makers also) will have a hard time maintaining production. Once the pipeline runs dry, don't expect too much more.

Ordered some 10mm range ammo from Target yesterday. At the time they were estimating 10-12 days to ship. Just checked back to see if one of the other 10mm rounds I wanted was back in stock yet. Nope. And shipping time is now up to 12-15 days.

*sigh*

Friend owns a gun shop. He called me yesterday asking if I could come in and help him. The little place was a zoo. Background checks were three at a time. The shop closes at 6, at 7 I gave up after being on the phone with NICS for over an hour trying to get two purchasers cleared.

The usual in a good week is selling three guns. I was selling to three customers at a time yesterday. He has resisted E check for NICS, I have applied for that and am awaiting a confirmation now. Also he asked me for help today.

Non gunners, interesting at least to me. A friend and his wife called me the other night from the Texas Panhandle. We have been friends 40+ years. They were asking me "What gun should I get?"

A larger B&M store I was at yesterday on business had a line at the door an hour before opening. They ended up queuing people 10 at a time to peruse the actual gun section and were soon gutted and had to end sales artificially early in the afternoon.

Ammo started out OK but was soon razed also.

I have to think these purchases are mostly amateurs, not the regular gun owners that have been stocking up for years if not more.
This is just the toilet paper crowd moving over to the guns & ammo isle.

The two Shops here are mostly selling ammo. One has a few boxes of 9mm and .223 before they’ll be completely out. The other is out of those calibers entirely. Less popular cartridges are in good supply.

They’ve sold maybe 20% of their stock of firearms. I think our rural area has always had a high percentage of gun ownership, reducing panic buying of guns.

Rural King in Bonita Beach had some ammo- I went there more to see what was on the store shelves, and maybe find some 20 gauge shells for the single bore I have.

The line at the firearms counter was so long they needed to have a cordon up. They said the background checks were taking a minimum of 2 hrs.

They had no pistol caliber ammo, but actually had several 5.56 55gr boxes, so I got that along with 30.06 and 20 gauge.

Spoke with someone at the checkout and he was concerned that he would not be able to get back to the store to pick up his weapon when the state 3 day hold was up. Btw he works at costco and told me they limit purchases. You cannot buy 2 of anything.

My daughter was at a farm supply store a few days ago. She was there to buy wire to built an electric fence. They were getting in a supply of 9mm ammo. People were not letting them get on the shelf. They would buy it as fast as it was being brought out.....and I live in what I consider rural America....people are going crazy!!

Where have these people been for the last three years? I have so much ammo & reloading components that I'd have to shoot everyday to use it before I'm dead. A month ago I was wondering what I was going to do with 5000 rounds of 8mm Mauser. Feeling good about my hoard now, all relaxed and watching the panic with curiosity.
