always fly with my Surefire E1B clipped to my back pocket, I've had no issue pre-pandemic and no issues the last 24-months of flying. These lights were never on any restricted list. It's possible you MAY come across a hard-up TSA agent who thinks they're smarter than the average bear when seeing a crenelated bezel-edge, however I've never had any issue.

I've got an old Surefire Lumamax LX2, uses CF123A Batts, that I EDC. Haven't flown commercially in several years but I've got a trip coming up next month.

Based on your experience with TSA, what do you think they'll do with a flashlight like this?

I just got back Monday from a trip to and from Colorado on United. Surefire E2E in backpack. No problem.
