Need a program that automatically uploads pics from phone and pics from computer to the same place
Apparently I have been asleep at the wheel and Amazon Drive quit automatically uploading from PCs at some point.

Most photos are taken on our phones but we still have a camera and upload to the PC.
I need a program/app that will upload from our phones and from our computer to the same place AUTOMATICALLY.

Does this exist??

We use iPhones by the way. I want it to automatically pull from our photo library on the phones and specified PC folder.

Yep. Go with Google Photos and you should be good to go.

Another vote for Google photos. Haven't looked at any automatic PC backup, but it syncs my phone just fine.

I believe you have to install google drive on your computer for it to automatically upload your pics. You have a choice to do best resolution up to your maximum storage or lower resolution but unlimited storage volume.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Google offers this for use with Google Photos:

Backup and Sync
Automatically back up photos from your Mac or PC, connected cameras and SD cards

Google Photos, together with Google Drive. I think I pay $100 a year to get 2TB of online storage shared across unlimited devices and 5 separate users in my "family". They have cheaper plans as well.

You can have stuff other than just photos automatically sync.

Not only is the cloud storage convenient (oh, you need a copy of my auto registration, my homeowner's policy, and a W2? Sure, it's here on my phone...), but sharing photos with Google Photos is pretty much awesome. Instantly create albums that others can contribute to, share full resolution photos using a link, etc.

OneDrive has that functionality as well.

I downloaded google photos for the phone lastnight.
Does the app actually have to be open to upload?
I have a 6mbps upload service (yeah I know not very quick) but over 7 hours only 72 pictures uploaded.

Also Aetoeceles you mention $100 a year.
The google photos page says

quote:
Back up unlimited photos and videos for free, up to 16MP and 1080p HD. Access them from any phone, tablet, or computer on photos.google.com – your photos will be safe, secure, and always with you.

I don’t have any pics over 16mp nor do I shoot 4k video at the moment so I presume I don’t need a paid account?

If you are somewhat technologically savy, get you a Synology NAS and use it’s Moments program. I’m not to fond of backing up all my family photos and videos to the cloud.
