These are the last things I need with being a middle aged fat guy, but they are awesome and they only sell them from Sep - March, and they finally returned to my local grocery store this week.

I never realized they were seasonal. Once in a great while I'll buy a box, which just reminds me that they're not as good as I want them to be

You know, I've never had them. Going to have to fix that.

I didn't either. I've bought them all times of the year in the distant past. Haven't had one in a long time, though.

Never had a Mallomars. Come to think of it I don't recall ever having seen any. That said way way back when I had a Mallo Cup or two. Okay, but definitely not a fav.

Not really crazy about marshmallow stuff. Snowballs were always one of those things that sounded great then was just ok when I would go to eat them.

Micro-regional, apparently. Supposedly New York City metro area consumes 70% of production. Link

I'm not a big candy or cookie eater (which I gather these prolly are), but I have never, ever heard of them either.

How 'bout a pic?
UPDATE: Found photos on the 'net. Sorry, look sickeningly sweet to me, but if you might like them, I hope you'll enjoy them.

NYC and Tennessee? lol

George Carlin used to mention them in a joke. I saw a big display of them in the grocery store about an hour ago, almost took a picture. I would have had I known many people don't know what they are. Don't care for em myself.

One "cookie" and about four times the cream.

Lots of Moon Pies here in Florida, have been since I was a kid.

Waaay back then it was thought to be necessary to have a Moon Pie with an RC Cola. I didn't much care for Moon Pies and would rather have a Coke.

Then, when I was in the Army, and was between visits to that SE Asian Tropical Paradise, in 1967, a big radio station held a contest to determine what Billie Joe and whats her name threw off that Tallahatchie Bridge-most entries seemed to claim it was a Moon Pie and RC Cola.

Good place for 'em.

Still wanna see a pic of the Mallomar.

My wife is from NYC. Malomars have been her favorite since she was a kid. Her sister still sends them to her. Just this week, she found them here in Iowa. Happy wife!

When I bought them as a kid the main thing I recall was the sugar headache they gave me when I ate one. Those things are nasty health wise.
