I haven't seen much spotlight on this. But when I saw and read this it struck a nerve. I mean when does this end? How many flags and symbols do we need to show? When do they understand that all this inclusiveness does is further divide us?

In my opinion there should only be three types of flags at a veterans display the American flag, state flag, POW/MIA flag.

The progressive wench of a town managers email is townmanager@ogunquit.org

I emailed her my exact thoughts on her "inclusive" decision.

So, then the Stars and bars should be just as acceptable it would seem.

I am currently in Rome and there is a gay pride flag hanging on the U.S. embassy. Why?

It's pride month, like a poster above already mentioned. Get ready for this crap all month.

I have a close friend who is gay and she said it best....Straight people do not feel the need to go around announcing their straightness to everyone they meets why should gay people?

I get that in the not so distant past they were not as accepted as they are now but the tide has shifted and, in most cases, they are "mainstream" now.

Hmm, now that you mention it, a 'I'm a man that likes to have sex with ladies' parade probably wouldn't get the same supportive response as Pride parades do. Oddly, you could probably find a bunch of hairy dudes wearing banana hammocks at either event.

For the past couple years I've seen part of the Pride parade up in Columbus, OH since they run it at the same time as the Origins game fair. Other than making it tough to cross the street for an hour, I can't say it's ever really bothered me. No one has ever grabbed my butt, or called me an evil cis-oppressor, or tried to give me literature on the joys of man-love or anything like that. I mean, they don't insisting on injecting rainbow flags and gay-appreciation into everything.

I admit the choice of location seems like a bad idea in the linked article. Its a memorial. A place of solemn remembrance, not a place for celebration. It would seem just as tone-deaf to throw up a 'Go <local sports franchise>!' flag there. If the city wanted to hang a pride flag, just hang it off the local government building.

Now, that title image with the re-imagining of the Iwo Jima flag raising? Well, this is the internet folks. Out here pictures get edited and turned into stupid memes thousands of times a day. I'm not your mom, but I'll tell ya anyway: there is no sense getting worked up over a photoshopped pic on the internet.

Gay pride: I love to suck cock and take it or give it anally.

Yep, something that ought to bring about pride or ... or disgust...

Dad and Mom should be so proud of jr. and his lover, who he met in a public restroom giving out oral sex to everyone except that one mean old vice cop, who arrested him cuffed, stuffed and had examined to be found raging with AIDS.

In an anti-gay effort, I'm going to have to find a gay disgust flag...maybe one showing a pillow biter and (jebas I hate this work, lover) and what that looks like.

Or 2 fags fighting over who turn it is to be on top...?

Yep, gay pride all right!

Partner, that is the very last time in this forum that you ever mention the subject of homosexuality.

You are boring the fuck out of me and everyone else here with your over the top bullshit on the subject.

If you want to take the escape rocket right out of here, just mention the subject of homosexuality again in this forum. If you like being here. I suggest you take this to heart.

No more. You have worn it out. No one cares how you feels about gays.

Years ago, I worked with an MD who went out of his way to let everyone know how much he hated gays. He'd manage to turn the conversation to the subject if he could find any way to do so. It was quite noticeable, much like the way you're behaving.

I have to wonder about the guy. I wondered that perhaps one night in college, in a moment of drunken indiscretion, he let someone slip in the back door.

FWIW
