LeemurCDC says all romaine lettuce is unsafe
Doughnuts and bacon don’t do this to you.

straightshooter1Well, it seems that, at least, Publix is taking this seriously. There is nothing Romaine in the store down the street, not even the word"Romaine."
I'm still thinking CDC is pretty much a joke, but I suppose, like the hog that found an acorn, they might, maybe, possibly, perhaps be right this time.

GT-40DOCI had just bought a 2-3# bag of mixed salad(including Romaine) about 30-45 minutes before the alert came out to dump it. I was already home, and it wasn't worth driving back to Sam's Club to return it......I have this thing called LUCK !! I thought about it, but did dump it. I do not want an E. Coli infection in my gut.

Jim ShugartWhy take the risk over fucking lettuce? If it were truffles or caviar it might be different.

Can we have a smidge more mayo, when we lose the L ?
I'm good...
No problem. I stocked up on Duke's when Publix had a "Buy One, Get One" deal.
Ahead of the curve, sir! Ahead of the curve

MagicHorseI stopped by the local grocery store after the gym because I was craving rice (of all things). I was behind a lady that had 2 bags of salad greens. The manager noticed & came over to check it. Both bags had Romaine lettuce in them so she wouldn't sell them to her & made a comment that she thought they pulled them all.
The customer was all mad, stating, "I need that for tomorrow? Now what am I suppose to do?" With all the warnings, she was still willing to serve it to her family & friends.
I gave her a rather rude look & spouted off that it was better safe than sorry or ending up in the hospital. She gave me the most awful look & just shut up & paid for the rest of her groceries.
