Now that I see the rig I recall asking you about it.
Maybe we can link up and do an easy section sometime. The Expedition certainly won’t hang in in many places that your rig will but my understanding I should be able to do the majority of the KAT.

I'll reach out when headed that way. I've been out of work since October and am currently turning the 4Runner into a travel / camping platform. I'm going to take a couple of trips around the country. One up to my home state of Maine, and another out to California and back.

The back seats have been removed and I have a Goose Gear sleeping platform on order. It should have been here by now, but the vendor took my money and never submitted the order. Goose Gear smacked the vendor around and are fulfilling the order, but everything is custom and takes about 6 weeks.

I'm doing the CB and antenna install today.

I took Gear.Up’s advice and did the same as he did. They turned out just fine. I am sure I’ll be spraying them on occasion when they get hit but no big deal.

Looks good!

May be up in Kentucky at the end of next month. One of the local clubs does an event at the Black Mountain Off-Road Adventure Area on Memorial Day weekend.

The problem with the aluminum skids is that they weren't welded properly.
Someone just ran a bead along the outside. They should have beveled them where they butted up so the weld would have penetrated much better. Actually, a better idea would have been to use bar stock that was twice as thick so no weld would be needed.
