When I was in High School in the late 90s and early 2000s this was the cool place to sneak into at night. The drone footage in the article is pretty cool but it is no where near as cool as sneaking in at night. Yes, I know illegal and wrong but kids are kids and we snuck in on many occasions were only confronted once by a guy with a gun. Another time I am pretty sure we came across a bonefide cross burning on the back of the property. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wik...rs_Cartridge_Company http://www.wcpo.com/longform/f...t-hunters-and-police Here is a link to the place on Google Maps (for some reason won't hyperlink the whole thing need to copy and paste the whole string) https://www.google.com/maps/place/39°21'01.0%22N+84°14'33.0%22W/@39.350107,-84.2449959,19z/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en I have not been there in years but there used to be a pedestrian bridge/skywalk from the main building over the road and into the side of the hill that I presume was some sort of bunker though we were never successful in getting through the steel gates that led into the hillside. From the map it does not seem that pedway is there any longer. It was always pretty funny when you would get a group of 15-20 folks at school say to meet in the neighborhood just slightly up the road say around 1am. Only 5 or 6 were ever brave enough to show up. This back before digital cameras and camera phones were a normal thing so I never got any pictures or videos of our ventures. Would be cool to have some. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!

Always wanted to go there but never did. As for Goes Station, been there many times. Several of the old powder company buildings remain. The rail line that serviced the powder plant is now a rail trail. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

When I was a boy working in my family's store, we sold .22cal and shotgun shells made by the Peters folks. I still have a few boxes of it stashed away.
