I am looking for a family friendly all inclusive resort. Open to anywhere with nice blue water (Mexico, Jamaica, Caribbean, etc)

I would like to keep the resort to mid to upper mid level pricing. Looking on travel sites make it so difficult to pick.

I haven’t t gone yet but check out Xcaret in Mexico. It’s amazing and includes all of their parks. We are going in February with the family.

Check out the Hawaiian island of Lana'i. The beautiful Four Seasons Resort at Manele Bay sounds like the inclusive resort you're looking for. Or you can go even more upscale at the Sensei Lana'i, the health and spa oriented resort at the center of the island. (You can stay at one and shuttle to the other.)

Granted I haven't been to Lana'i since Larry Ellison bought most of the island in 2012, but from what I've heard he's modernized it without tampering with the small island resort feel.

My family and I just came back from Beaches in Negril, Jamaica. All inclusive and plenty of things for teenagers and kids as well as adults. Two dives a day included. All food and alcohol is included.

Hospitality and service was off the charts. My Red Stripe never got empty and I think I may owe them money for all the Appleton 12 year old I relieved them of

We’ve been to Sandals and Beaches, last time was in St. Lucia it was a Sandals resort. There were several nearby and you could bounce between them anytime. The one we went to had five restaurants on the property.

Two of my favorites:

https://www.stellamarisresort.com, Stella Maris on Long Island (Bahamas, not NY). My wife and I used to fly there in the V-Tail and spend a long weekend or maybe a week. Even more convenient now, as their on-site airport is an Airport of Entry to The Bahamas, so it's possible to go directly from the U.S. without an intermediate stop to clear Bahamian Customs and Immigration.

Another choice, higher budget (my stay was paid for by the client), is https://www.kamalame.com Kamalame Cay. Shorter flight, Andros Island is much closer to the U.S. mainland, but a longer drive once there, as the resort is not near the airport. They will pick you up, and it's the better part of an hour from the airport to the ferry, where a short trip will take you to the private Cay, where you are really treated like an honored guest. Or, instead of using the airport, there is seaplane service that will take you right to the resort.

Outstanding service, really great food, and plenty to do.

My wife and I usually go on cruises. In the past 2 1/2 years we have not been able to go.
We started looking at all inclusive resorts in Jamaica. We found one called Moon Palace Resort. We were going to make reservations when the cruise lines changed their policy on who could cruise, so now we are looking at cruises again.

The resort had good reviews and the prices were good compared to other all inclusive resorts.
My wife found some YouTube reviews and we watched them, the place looked nice.
It might be something to look into.
It is something we are now thinking of as a future vacation.

I can see that I have not been travelling in the right circles over the past 71 years. I need to work on that.

I take my 12-year-old son to one of their resorts every year.

Not cheap, but the experience is consistently outstanding.

My wife and I checked in the the Iberostar Cozumel yesterday. We’re in an ocean view room and it is exactly that. Look out of the glass doors an your see the pier. Two steps off the porch and we’re on the beach. So far the food has been pretty good as well.

How is the sargassum? Any issues?

I don't know if you'll find an all-inclusive, but a hidden little gem I've discovered in my travels is San Juan, Puerto Rico. We stay at the Marriott Resort and Casino on our overnights...nice hotel. As stated, you'd have to check out if they (or anyone) has an all-inclusive package.

Same as 71truck, we usually cruise. With the plandemic going on we booked at the Hyatt Ziva in Cancun, I believe the wife booked the whole thing through Delta. I can highly recommend the place. The food, service and the amenities were outstanding

We’re on the leeward side of the island. Almost no sargassum on the beach.

I didn't mention that we went to the Hyatt Zilara in Punta Cana a few weeks ago. Zilara is the adults side, but Ziva is connected for families. It was a good time. Beach was just okay. Pools great. Most food was great. Some things tasted off, like the dark rum and the chocoloate.

Anyhow, here's a vid I did of the lazy river at the water park. It's behind both Ziva and Zilara.

Thanks for the recommendations. Some of those places are going to be a little to spendy for us.

Seems to be be a good bang for the buck.

We were in Punta Cana once before and the wife got sick on the food. She has a bias now against the entire country. Hoping she will reconsider.

I’ve been to the Barcelo in Punta Cana, several times. I’m not saying it’s the best out there, but if the price is right, it has the essentials. Those essentials are food, drink, pool, beach, themed restaurants, cigar bar, Rum bar, casino, then some entertainment.

It’s a very large property, there are a few water & land excursions that can be planned.


Yes, Hawaii & others are nice, one needs to stay within the budget.
