bronicabillWindows 10 Lockscreen Help
I thought I was fairly savvy on computers and software stuff, but this one has me stumped! I have done several internet searches regarding the problem and tried everything that was recommended, yet with zero positive results!
Just in the past day or two, notification tiles have begun appearing on my Windows lock-screen, and for whatever reason they bug me, in part because they think I'm located about 100 miles from where I actually am, so basically none of it is pertinent to me! Clicking on any of the tiles takes me to a related Microsoft Edge page, and I don't even use Edge!
If anyone can help me get rid of yet another annoyance where Microsoft thinks they know better than I do about what I want or need, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!!!

gjgalliganIn the past I have had wireless internet service that had me located in Wisconsin but I am in SE Michigan.
So it might be something like that for the location.

sigmonkeyPress the Windows key + I
Go to Personalization
Go to "Lock" screen. (middle left side)
On the right you will see "choose apps"
Click on each Icon and scroll to the top and select "None".
And yes, as
gjgalligan stated The "location" is based on the IP address of your service provider for your assigned netblock.
Mine shows me 40 miles east.
So, I'm good even if the Rooskies drop the Tsar Bomba dialed up to 11, based on my IP location.

Yeah, my ISP is now Verizon 5G Home and is apparently located in the Birmingham area. Back when I was using WOW my location would show at least my neighborhood. That all went away about a year ago when I changed over and most of the time it doesn't matter.
