YellowJacketMy prized baseball has Tom Glavine, John Smoltz, and Steve Avery signatures. I got the latter two in person and the first was obtained by a friend of my father’s who worked at a car dealership here in Atlanta and sold a car to Tom. Another friend of my father’s who was a high-end custom millworker and he put shutters and millwork in big fancy houses. He took a few of us along to meet Smoltz and Avery. I was about 11 or 12 and this was 1993 or 94, the height of Braves dominance so meeting these guys at that point in my life was pretty awesome.
