Hello. I've lived in hot, humid Florida for a year now and I'm looking for a good belt to wear with dress shorts that's non-leather.

Any recommendations? I'm carrying a P365 stainless with a Comp-Tac Infidel Ultra Max.

I also wear a spare mag in a pitbull tactical universal mag holster.

TIA,

Tony.

Not exactly dressy, but my WT five-stitch has never let me down.

Hard to go wrong with these guys:

https://www.thewilderness.com/belts/

I have one of their Frequent Flyer belts, with the optional 5-stitch upgrade (five bucks) for added vertical stiffening. Been using it regularly with casual dress for ten years or more.

I use a good leather belt when wearing clothes that are a little more "dressy" (you know, like when you have to lood good to go to Walmart), but The Wilderness is standard for me with my normal shorts and tee-shirt.

If it doesn't need to look dressy to go with those dress shorts, you can't go wrong with a Wilderness nylon belt.

If it does need to look dressy, Kore/Nexbelt have faux leather quick-adjust belts that work fairly well for concealed carry. Not as solid a platform as a leather gunbelt or a reinforced 5-stitch nylon belt, but still workable.

Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do.

Isn't the Marines just a subsidiary division of the Navy?? Cool

(God, I know I am gonna pay for this.)

Wilderness Tactical has been the go-to, non-leather, choice for me for several years.

I have both the 1.5 inch and 1 inch belts and actually like the 1 inch WT better.

I've been rocking the first gen Magpul El Burro (Magpul Tejas Gun Belt 2.0 – "El Burro®")daily for 3+ years in Florida, no complaints. Their simple but genius commercial sold me on getting one:

This thread might best be in "concealed carry..." subforum...perhaps a moderator could move?

For hot weather carry, the 5.11 belts are first rate. There are about six options. Some are curved.

5.11 has sales regularly.

The Marines are the "Mens Department" of the Navy. HAR!

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll have a look.

For a lightweight hot weather belt, I use a Spec Ops nylon belt.

I was at the Physical Therapy place. There was an older guy (well, not older than me) wearing a USMC cap.
I said to him, "Hey -- I used to work for the parent company!"

He seemed to think that was pretty funny.

Like the above guy Mark60 said, Blue Alpha. I have two of them and I live near you (Ormond Beach) so same weather. I have the ones with the smaller Cobra buckle so it fits through most belt loops unlike its full sized brethren.

I like them so much I pretty much don't wear any other belts anymore.

My son the Marine likes to tell me it is in fact part of the Navy Department. The mens department. The funny thing is that I am the one who first told him that joke. lol

I have two of the wilderness belts I wear often,

one coyote, one black.

They are around 10 to 15 years old and still look fairly new.
