PASigKitchen Sink Pad Or Mat?
We have a new kitchen that was redone in August of last year and got quartz countertops, the countertop company actually gave us a under mount stainless steel sink as part of the deal but it seems like it scratches very easily on the bottom. Also, one of my kids must’ve dumped something acidic like orange juice or some other substance in it recently because it’s now etched with a bit of a mark or shadow. I got most of it off with a magic eraser but it’s still there.
I was considering putting some sort of pad or mat in the bottom of the sink, don’t they make something like that?
Does anyone here use something like that? What could you recommend?
Or should I just suck it up and just understand that it’s going to scratch and not worry about it?

GustoferMine came with a legged wire rack (similar to a cookie cooling rack) that sits up about a 1/2" or so above the surface.

P-220We just did the same thing. I love our sink, but we did add a wire rack, which is cut perfectly for the sink.

TonydecIt's going to happen. Even with the wire mats, the legs leave markings. We use Bar Keepers Friend to touch it up as needed, and maybe once a year I'll hit it with polishing compound and the small Griots orbital to polish it up like new.

IronbuttWe have a porcelain farmhouse sink. My wife bought a sink mat several years ago & we're still using it. Amazon has a whole bunch, but I'm sure she only paid a few dollars for ours at one of the dollar stores.

AglifterFor those with marked stainless steel - do you know anyone at a dairy plant or dairy farm?

Yes, thank you for that helpful hint.
I wanted to see if there were people here who had them, and what their experiences were with them, and what they might recommend.
