I am scheduled for a cardiac ablation on Monday, found out the results of my recent colonostopy yesterday.

He was using the C word. Another surgery in my near future. :-(

Ablation for a-fib or fluttering? Been there for both. Piece of cake.

Enjoy this period of resting.

I had a Catheter ablation several years back. It’s kind of intimidating, but going through it, really was no big deal. It’s improved my quality of life tremendously. I wish you luck. Everything will be fine.

Is the ablation invasive or external using paddles?
I suffer from Afib as well as tachycardia and may be a candidate for this procedure.

I had an ablation a couple of weeks ago. It has stopped the flutter and A-Fib, but I'm experiencing some episodes where the heart rate suddenly drops to about 32-33. Saw my cardiologist yesterday and am now wearing a monitor for a week. Possible need for a pacemaker.

Last I checked (now retired 4 years), success rate with first ablation for A fib about 70%, same chance with second procedure.

Can’t comment on the colonoscopy, your gastroenterologist or surgeon will give you details and odds of cure.

Will be praying for you.

Wishing you the best. Even a pacemaker/defibrillator isn't too bad. Had mine implanted last Wednesday. On the table around 9:30 am ish, home around 3pm. No pain pills, hurt for a few days, discomfort since. Still can't lift my arm over my head for I would say a week..

I had my second ablation last November. I'm using a Kardia Mobile to report weekly EKG reading to my doc. Works much better than his loaner that g ates my cell phone and saves a trip to his office.
