rduckworTornado hits the little town where I live.
I live about 10-12 miles south of downtown. This storm hit at 2:56PM yesterday afternoon. Fortunately, no serious injuries, no lost lives.
The First Presbyterian Church built in the 1850's was totally destroyed. The First Baptist Church directly across the street lost it's activity building, the roof off the childern's school building and the church steeple. The historic Bibb-Graves Bridge (seen in the movie Big Fish) across the Coosa River was damaged.
I was on the Skywarn Net when it hit and stepped outside. I could hear the road even from my front porch. RMD
