The SR-71 is only one of many incredible flying machines exhibited at Udvar-Hazy. If you come to DC, and don't see anything else, the trip will have been worth it.

I grew up near Beale AFB, home base of the SR-71. Saw them frequently and even got a boom now and then. Memory would indicate monthly, but probably less often than that. I was dove hunting fairly close to the runway one time and witnessed one take off. Impressive and shockingly nimble. OZ
I watched that this week, very informative and very well done. After watching I looked at how many subs and said shit, you deserve it. I also noticed YT changed their advertisement algorithm. It’s like they did 10X on that thing. Annoying.
What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

Approx. 3 weeks ago came across a veteran wearing a Air Force cap.. While talking asked what he had done (job) and he replied communication/electronics for and on the SR-71 Blackbird... My reply was that the SR-71 was a beautiful and awesome bird.. And he said yes it was in its day... Cool video.. ................................... drill sgt.
