NEW: Pennsylvania police officer opens fire on a man driving a Mercedes G-Wagon after the man started ramming his car into officers.

21-year-old Dalton Lee Janiczek has been arrested and is facing attempted-m*rder charges after a routine traffic stop.

Janiczek, the son of a prominent Pennsylvania lawyer, is accused of striking an officer with his car multiple times, even when the officer was on the ground.

"Janiczek accelerated directly at the officer, attempting to hit him, and the officer discharged his firearm," the DA’s office said.

"Again, Janiczek accelerated the vehicle, this time striking the officer, causing him to fall."

"As the officer attempted to administer a tourniquet to a leg wound, the Mercedes circled back around the lot and struck the officer three more times as he laid on the ground."

Multiple officers were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition.

If the officer only has time to draw his sidearm, it doesn't matter whether they have a 12 gauge or an AR 15 in the weapon rack or storage vault in their cruiser. In this video, the officer could've had a Barrett 50 Cal in the cruiser's weapon rack and it would've been the same outcome.

I obviously read the post and even quoted part of it. My comment was directed at the lack of brain cells used in creating the title. There is a reason Para chastises "cute" thread titles that don't accurately describe a thread.

I was thinking a Beretta 1301 Tactical Mod 2 with 7 rds of Brenneke slugs. Unlike 9mm, those slugs would put some nice big holes in that SUV, and the dude's face would be cratered.

Entitlement is massive problem in our country. Mixed with some bullshit social media narratives it makes for a nasty recipe.

I hope all the officers come out of this intact and not with permanent injuries.

In all honesty I was in the same boat. No idea what bringing back the 12ga and slugs has to do with this at all, but I expected an ineffective AR15 incident. 12ga isn’t even out of common use anymore… All in all, too bad dude didn’t take many of any kind of rounds and cease to exist.
