Almost 7 years have passed since we retired. These have been some of the best times of our lives. Travel, read, relax, sun, hike, bike, or just do nothing. We've been blessed with good health and 2 very responsible children that are the lights of our lives. Congrats.

Congratulations! Retirement can take some getting used to. Sold the business and retired 6 years ago, took me at least a year to stop looking around for things I am neglecting, things I should be doing, basically just learning how to relax.

Indoor range about 2 miles from home. As a member I have 24/7 access with a key-card. I like to go early mornings, usually have the place all to myself for an hour or so. Wife sleeps until 7:30 most mornings and I am up by 5AM, so this is a good way to use that time.

Went on a serious reloading binge, thousands of rounds in the calibers I shoot frequently. Followed with a bullet casting binge, several thousand in each caliber (9mm, .38, .40, .44, .45). Used up all the primers and powders I had stockpiled, so now I am looking around to resupply.

Couple of good fishing trips each year. Florida, Tennessee, Minnesota, Texas gulf coast. I like to rent a cabin or house for a week or so, let the sons and grandkids come and go as they can make time.

Afternoon card games at my club, adult beverages authorized.

Life is as good as we allow it to be!

congrats to the OP!!!!! My last contact with Los Alamos lab was several years back when I had the privilege of attending solar school thanks to my employer. Wonderful Ph D lady teaching the class, with a wealth of information.

Point is, you retired from a great organization, at least from what I saw.

Again congratulations on a well deserved retirement.

Congratulations! Enjoy your retirement.

I attended schooling on nuclear weapons at SNL in 1965. I was to be in charge of some at my next duty assignment.

Congratulations on the retirement. ......Take time to enjoy. ............... just be careful with the "honey-doo" list because you will find yourself wondering how you got anything done while working at your daily job and after a while you just might considering going back to work to get some rest and relaxation. ..... Again.. Congrats. .............................. drill sgt.
