Everything is on the line. The last time this nation was in such peril, most people now alive had not yet been born.

January 20, 2025 is 407 days away. Each of those days holds in it the potential for disaster.

Pray for your counTry. Pray for Donald Trump.

It's going to be an interesting year and I hope interesting is the worst thing we can say about it. I'm praying for the future of our country and that Donald Trump is our next president.

This country is so divided that I don’t even understand the other side. I imagine the division is as severe as it was before the civil war. As such the consequences of the Left winning and the further corruption of the law and culture would be unbearable. That said, I know ultimately righteousness will prevail and I have great faith in that and great hope for the future.

Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis and her team of prosecutors want prison sentences for Donald Trump and his top allies, previously unreported emails reveal.

The emails, first reported by the Guardian, reveal deepening hostilities between prosecutors and defendants in the monumental Georgia criminal case against Trump and his top allies.

“We have a long road ahead,” Willis wrote in a previously unreported email last month to Trump’s attorneys. “Long after these folks are in jail, we will still be practicing law.”

Willis and her team allege Trump and codefendants violated the racketeering statute as part of efforts to overturn the 2020 election results. A handful of defendants, including Jenna Ellis, Sidney Powell, and Kenneth Chesebro, have flipped on Trump, presumably to avoid long prison sentences of their own.

Trump’s allies argue the case is politically motivated “lawfare,” and Trump maintains he has done nothing wrong.

I can't even comprehend the stress we will be under if the DEMs try to imprison the REP candidate for President

I don't think it will be as bad as people say if Gropie and his shadow cabinet made up of 20 something year old Ivy Studies majors win. There's a couple of things, sure:

* Record inflation and a coverup by most reports measuring improvement from last week
* A war or maybe not, or maybe, but a money hemorrhage either way in Ukraine
*Freak Flags on schools, churches, .gov buildings that need to be taken seriously
*War, in Israel for the moment but is stretching to Yemen, Lebanon, etc.
*Record crime in many cities and no sign of abatement and actually some push back, as in my home field of Seattle
*A militarized, and not in a good way, Justice (snortBig Grin) Department
*A banana republic style assault on 1. Republicans, 2. MAGA, 3. white men, religion, it's members, it's property, it's services
*Loud demanding attacks on the 1st, second, 4th amendments. I haven't heard anything on the 3rd, but why not.
*Shrieking imbecility of eliminating the source of something like 60% of the worlds energy.
*A border that doesn't even have a polite request for alien invaders, agents, spies, infected, criminals to please not cross. And now dickey durban wants to give said worthies a route to full citizenship by putting them in the military.
P.S. Military: definition: An unfortunately required organization made up of reprobates, trouble makers, stupid people, confederates, white males without Ivy degrees, that serves at the whim of the elites to get bullies to quit taking their lunch money and to help them up when they fall down the stairs.

But it's not like real trouble, right? Right?

At first my response was “Gee, Captain Buzzkill…” but then I realized “He’s right, you know.” Then I asked myself what have learned here that is apropos. My list started

0. Begin exercising.
1. Clean your rifle.
2. Clean your concealed carry pistol, then carry it everywhere you legally can.
3. Procure body armor.
4. Get first aid gear appropriate to your level of planned training.
5. Get training, not just in shooting, but first aid, food preservation, hunting, land navigation, and similar skills.
6. Buy ammo now, stack deep.
7. Buy an adequate number of standard capacity magazines for each firearm (10 per is a good start).
8. Buy key spare parts (e.g., AR-15 pins, springs).
9. Register to vote, then vote.
10. Read The Cat Thread. Then get a cat or three.
11. You WILL buy a Glock.

The list is longer, but I’ve done all of the above.

Thanks SIGforum.

I have been thinking about this for a while now. I am totally disgusted at the way my president, DJT, is being treated. I am totally disgusted with the current WH administration (I cannot bring myself to type the corrupt pedo's name). I am totally disgusted with liberals/Dimocrats in general.

I fully expect them to pull out all the stops in preventing Trump from making it back into the office he was robbed of 3 years ago, and I fully expect it to get ugly in ways I have not yet thought of!

All I can do now in failing health and VERY limited funding is to pray a lot and keep my rifle clean... and readily available!

I’ve come to know you as having insights most people don’t see and you’re not one to go off half-cocked. Any reason why Jan 20, 2025 which is Inauguration Day and not Nov 5, 2024 or shortly after Election Day?

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Because with the election, there's still a chance he might not be the nominee or might not win the election, but if he wins, he's not POTUS until he's sworn in.

If Trump wins, the interval between the election and 1/20/25 will be fraught with danger.

Oh man, I can't even imagine the shenanigans they will pull - faithless electors, pulling a fire alarm in the Capitol on Jan. 6th, etc. And I'm sure there will be plenty of backup on hand, as in FBI and Nat. Guard to make sure they get away with it.

If Trump happens to lose again I fear there will be an equal amount of danger in this country. I don't think the people who were told to keep cool and stay calm will be willing to do that shit a second time.

I agree that there is nothing the Democrats won't do, no matter how crazy or brazenly beyond comprehension, to keep Trump and all good Americans under wraps. Yes, they are that fubared, and they will only get worse until they achieve their objective, and beyond, unless they are forced back into their cracks in the darkness.

Every time I say to myself I can't believe it, they couldn't possibly do worse things to make things more horrible then they already are, they ALWAYS come through. I'd say the worst of them are literally sick with perversion, hatred, and evil. If an evil strongman rose to the forefront, they'd ALL be in for that person, 110% guaranteed.

There really is a lot on the line. If the Dems retain the White House and pick up just a few seats seats in the House and just one in the Senate then it means:

Goodby filibuster and hello:
-Packed SCOTUS
-Assault Weapon Ban
-Hi-cap Mag Ban
-Student loan forgiveness
-Mass amnesty for millions of illegals
-Censorship
-Massive tax increases

The entire country will become California.

It's really scary to think how close we are to the end of America as we know it. And I can't help but think the Dems know it too and will do ANYTHING to get the last bit of power they need to finish the job. When you add in the way they've built Trump up to be the next Hitler, I imagine that they can justify in their minds just about any amount of election fraud in 2024.

And if Trump does manage to beat the odds and win, I expect some of the most violent and destructive rioting this country has ever seen from the left.

What I do know is that I am making some adjustments to my investment portfolio by the end of the year to better position myself for uncertain and dangerous times.

If I were to wake up one morning in the course of the next year and turn on the news, only to find out that there has been a high profile assassination in this country, I would not be the least bit surprised. In fact, I'd wonder what took them so long.

I have long believed that the left will not allow the Donald back in the White House. How that happens...I don't know, but I put nothing, and I mean nothing, past them.

I sincerely hope the man is wearing the best body armor money can buy and wearing it even when he takes a dump. Were I him, I'd be wearing a brain bucket too.

I predict that this country will see more turmoil than it ever has over the course of the next year. As has been said, buckle up, because it's going to be ugly.

Looks like Ramaswamy has been warned.

MAGA is not DJT. MAGA is us. DJT is just the right man who stepped up at the right time.

Many on the left fundamentally do not understand this. They think we are a cult of Trump's personality, but in reality it is the reverse. He is not our leader, he is our representative. Yes, I think there is great danger to DJT personally from the lunatic left, and great danger to the country should the election go to the D team.

But I also believe that ultimately the great mass of the citizens have seen the truth that the Democrat party's progressive agenda is responsible for the mess we are in. We the country and, indeed, a large portion of the planet.

Whatever the opposition tries, it will not mean an end to MAGA. It might light off domestic hostilities but it won't turn us into rudderless followers if they somehow prevent DJT from taking office.
