I have some friends that live there to stay with. I am going to catch lobsters scuba diving. Maybe some spearfishing. But other than that, what is there to do? Suggestions? Maybe a restaurant or two? Weather should be nice, cooler temps, you'll want to use sunscreen too. One of my cousins and her husband had a condo in a high-rise across the street from the beach. I cannot remember the names of any of the beach front restaurants / bars that we went to but the seafood sandwiches, tacos and dishes were excellent at all of them. I believe that the Grouper Sandwich is their ‘thing’ down there with everyone claiming to make the best one. I’m from Tampa. The water is murky, but going off shore it gets clearer. Google maps will show you good restaurants. Last time I was there we stayed in Madeira beach. (Between St. Pete + Clearwater) The Don Cesar is a big coral colored hotel in St. Pete that mom and dad have fond memories of. Plenty of places to eat-just drive and stop in at one. We actually enjoyed the Buba Gump Co. at Johns Pass. Another vote here for Ybor. The Cuban restaurants there are fantastic. Parking enforcement in Clearwater are forkin nazis so be careful with that. | |||
