Be nice, he was a juvie. There are places in this country where a leftist prosecutor might even decline to prosecute. They'll at least hold him until his 18th Bday.

"I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation."

Two counts of attempted murder on a cop have to be good for at least 40 years, even with our left-leaning DA. I play in a band with a Phoenix PD detective who got into a gunfight a few yrs. ago. No one was hit, but perp got 30 yrs for shooting at him plus the B&E my buddy was responding to. This latest one was flat out an assassination attempt, so I think that kid is gonna be near retirement age when he next sees the light of day.

Juveniles can be charged as adults, and given adult sentences up to life in prison (with the possibility of eventual parole).
Just no life without parole or death penalty for juveniles, per the Supreme Court.
