I ordered a bidet yesterday but it won't ship until 20 April. Good thing I still have a bit of TP left.

Need to reduce TP consumption? Go on a diet. I would shit once every 3-4 days for the first 2 months of mine.

TP production should be spooled back up by then.

I doubt there has been any disruption in TP production. The shortages are purely a result of irrational hoarding. Next week you will probably be able to buy all you need once the shelves are restocked.

Watch sourdough. It'll get you on a 3 or 4 day schedule, but crap in a gas station. It will be massive. As for a bidet, won't the hoser attachment on the kitchen sink work as well? Lends a whole new meaning to Waste Kang.

A friend of mine works at Procter & Gamble and they are having a very hard time keeping up with the demand. They also understand that when this wanes they aren't going to sell much TP for quite a while as people use what they have stored.

Again, that is not indicative of a "disruption" in production, which implies that some external factor has limited the ability of TP manufacturers to produce product at normal capacity. It is actually the opposite scenario if they are trying to increase production above normal levels.

Runs on the bank were resolved by instituting the FDIC. Perhaps we need a Federal strategic TP reserve.

Every adult in America should get a check for $1,000 and 5 rolls of TP to carry them through this crisis.

Perhaps the checks should be written on toilet paper.

Grab a handfull of grass from the yard. Save a tree. Less mowing too. Saves fuel for mowing. It's for the environment.

That's like saying everybody shoots up all the ammo they buy.
Some people will use their supply, others will continue to buy and keep their stockpile and you'll have everything inbetween.
Not to mention the people who couldn't buy it, to stockpile it in the first place.
