I'm not sure if everyone else does this, but I have a few 1st of every month chores and I'm curious what your's might be.

Mine:

-Give my dog his heartworm prevention medication
-Lubricate the garage door springs (was told to do this by a garage door tech as we use our garage door heavily. It's our main way in and out of house).
-Clean sliding glass door track and lubricate afterwards. Dog lays by it a lot so it gets some of his hair in the track.
-Confirm function of all smoke and CO detectors
-Clean dryer vent
-Clean and lube my regular carry guns that sit in the safe loaded in a holster ready to strap on.

So do you have any 1st of the month chores?

Sometimes, you gotta roll the hard six

I have a list of monthly tasks, but many of them are actually quarterly (furnace filters, etc). I check softener salt, run the generator, and whatever else is on the quarterly list for that month.

I've got to say, that's some next level garage door maintenance.

Walk around the house. Check the window caulking, door weatherstrips, etc. Give the house a good eyeball lookover.

I need to get someone to clean my Raingutters. Probably too many leaves and debris again.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Just have to pay my first-part-of-the-month bills. Really don’t have “chores”. The house is in very good order and I am EXTREMELY blessed to have maids come in once a month to do a thorough cleaning.

It’s just me and the 2 cats and I’m gone 12-13 days a month. So the house doesn’t get that messy and mother raised me to clean up after myself and not live like a slob. In fact, they’re at the house right now while I enjoy a Dunkin’ coffee. Big Grin Big Grin

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

Mine too and it's a new experience for me. The first time in my life I'm able to pay all my bills at one time, as opposed to two or three different times throughout the month.

Sadly I don't think it will last much longer. lol
