Haven't used my iPad and iPhone 4s in a long time, too obsolete as per Apple standards.
The iPhone has no SIM, i moved to an Android one.

Trying to backup and check contents, both devices want me to introduce my Apple ID.
IDs are different for each device (hers and his) but in both cases they get rejected.

The options are to send an email to our personal accounts (active, current) but we're not getting them AND send us a code to our iphone - we don't have active ihones - current phone numbers. Not getting the codes.

Maybe some of you are familiar with this issue.

Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand where the problem is.

Are you trying to unlock the devices to view content and it won't accept the passcode or are you trying to use a device back up and it wants the Apple id password?

Passcode and password are 2 different functions.

Have the unlock passcode for both devices. I can access and use them no problem.

But if I try to access the Store or it attempts to connect to iTunes (my guess) for whatever reason, it pops up a box asking to validate both devices itunes/Apple related mail accounts - Apple ID.

Have passwords for both, both get rejected and I have the option to have a 4digit code sent to my iPhone phone number xxxxxx (still have the number, no longer have the iPhone). Not getting any messages OR to have it sent to our Apple ID associated email, not getting the email either, checked all incoming msil boxes, including spam box.

What I'm not getting is the Apple provided, automaticaly generated, and on demand issued verification code by any of their channels of communication.

AFAIK, all my unlock codes and email/Apple ID passwords are operational

The "send code to iPhone" is just an ordinary SMS text message, you should be able to receive it on any brand of phone, iOS or Android, assuming that your provider supports text messaging.

Test/verify your AppleID/password on the Apple Store website and/or the App Store application on macOS (if you have a Mac).

Most people maintain/associate with the devices a single AppleID as it make cross-device sharing very simple.

On the devices, go into setting > eneral > itunes and app store. Verify the apple id is the email account you are trying to use.

Once you confirm that you are using the correct email account, on any computer google “manage my apple id”, go to the apple website that comes up and follow the steps for “forgot my password” and change your password. Then try to validate the devices with the new passwords.

Not sure I understand, but you have to have each device authorized on your iTunes and/or iCloud account(s). I forget how many are allowed on there, I think five. So if you have five other devices already authorized there, you'll need to remove two of them. That sounds kind of crazy, but I've had about five iPhones, a MacBook, an iPad and an iPod. I've also had a few PCs on the account for up/downloading music. So you have to keep the authorized devices current.

Haven´t visited my iTunes account recently but have the associated passwords and email accounts written down. Those email accounts match the ones the devices say they ´ll email to with the codes.

Since I´m dealing with the devices only, not witha pc, just the ipad alone and the iphone alone, no authorization required AFAIK.
