Keeping the economy moving since 1964 |
I found out late this morning that my best friend's older brother Tim passed away yesterday as a result of a freak accident he had last week. Tim was a lifelong union tin-knocker and one of the nicest guys I've ever known. Unfortunately he and my best friend (and the rest of his family) were estranged for reasons I've never understood. At the request of my best friend (who was understandably distraught and to the point of not being able to function), I called the owner of the company where Tim worked to get the details of his passing. There's nothing worse (or perhaps more necessary) than passing along terrible news. ----------------------- You can't fall off the floor.

I'm sorry to hear of your friend's loss. I hope you can find strength and stamina to stay strong for your best friend and family in their time if sorrow. --Tom The right of self preservation, in turn, was understood as the right to defend oneself against attacks by lawless individuals, or, if absolutely necessary, to resist and throw off a tyrannical government.

Sorry for your loss, and condolences to all that called him a friend and close family. Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves. -D.H. Lawrence
