As SMERSH frequently proclaimed "Smert Shpionam", so too do I shout Smert Murav'yam - смерть муравьям

Yes, I declare Death To Ants. Doing a little work to an ex-in-law's driveway in Arizona, a colony was disturbed from long habitation in a humus-impacted crack. OK, no problem. As requested, I choked them with salt and they were gone when the sun came out.

Loading boxes at dawn, ants everywhere. Even with shoes, they SWARM over my ankles and bite like the Dickens. What's up with that? Biting ants?

So now they are getting borax. Lots of it. 20 Mule Team Borax to the rescue!

Смерть Шпионам
The use of the Russian phrase "Smert Shpionam" ("Death to Spies") is a reference to SMERSH, the Russian spy agency James Bond combated in the early Ian Fleming novels. It was mentioned in only one previous Bond film, From Russia With Love 1963.

While out here, I'm buying a used .22LR - Buckmark Standard 5.5" - if I can find one and get a deal. But that would be for larger varmints.
