President Trump Is Destroying The Arizona Economy (Sarcasm)
TRUMP is destroying the local Arizona economies. Illegal immigrants are boycotting Arizona by the thousands.

They are showing their outrage with Donald Trump's pardon of sheriff Joe Arpaio and his rescinding of Obama's unconstitutional executive order known as DACA.

In the small town of Guadalupe, AZ, south of Phoenix, Manuel Renaldo is one of those who are vowing to punish Arizona by leaving. As he loaded his stolen car with his taxpayer-furnished belongings and family of ten, Renaldo told this reporter through an interpreter: "It's a matter of principle; I refuse to be supported by a state that treats me like a criminal!"

The effects of the exodus are already being felt by some Arizona retailers, who are reporting dwindling thefts & sales of beer, tequila, spray paint, and ammunition. Also hit hard are the state hospitals, which have reported a dramatic decline in births and emergency room visits of non-revenue patients.

State welfare agencies are preparing to lay off staffs that distribute food stamps and unemployment benefits. Tattoo parlors are in an absolute state of panic.

Renaldo told a reporter, through an interpreter, that he and his family are moving to the sanctuary state of California, with a Liberal government under Democrats and Governor Jerry Brown, new higher taxes and hardworking people who will better be able to support him and his growing family with dignity.

Sorry, I thought the sarcasm was self-evident, but I edited the subject line to make it explicit. I don't have a link, it's a joke, but if that is not appropriate, please kill the thread.

I thought it was good for a laugh.

We have a massive shortage of construction labor here in central Florida. Old partner of mine said that he's seen la migra pull up to job sites and guys jump out of second story windows to get away. Leaving their trucks, tools, everything behind. Big Grin

I live in OR and don't have a big problem with the map darthfuser posted either!

Though, within the US, after securing the border we can force migration from the free to liberal areas much like in the sarcastic OP. With no new influx, the ones here will be sorted out one way or another eventually. Either productive and nobody cares. Non-productive facing fewer options in free states (go back? go to a lib state?) or criminal; get convicted, jailed, then deported.

Well, if we lost all of our migrant labor, our fruit and wheat farms would go broke. As would our construction industry. Pretty much the case all over the country. It is not a black and white situation. We do need better border control. But the US agriculture community absolutely relies on inexpensive migrant labor. That is a fact. My wife's family owns a big wheat farm over 100 years old, and they have always relied on migrant labor. We know major apple farmers who hire hundreds of migrants every year, for decades. You can not just kick them all out. The US agg-economy would collapse. That is a fact. This is the age-old example of Capital vs Labor. Ask any big farm operation if they can hire everyone they need without hiring migrant labor. NO WAY.

Locally there are beggars at every corner holding up little cardboard hand lettered signs with sob stories asking for money. They're everywhere, we've all seen them.

However, there is one enterprising and clever Mexican man standing on a local corner, along with wife and kids, quite pathetic looking.

His sign reads "Please, we only need $100.00 more for gas to get back to Mexico".

People are practically getting rear ended screeching to a stop, as well as almost getting whiplash, while pulling out their wallets and purses to give $$$ to get them back to Mexico.

So is your wife’s family hiring illegal aliens or migrant workers? I believe that’s the whole point here. Stop throwing the term migrant labor out there like the leftists and their media as if there isn’t a difference.

So your wife's Family's business model relies on them being criminals, and requiring them to follow the law would cause their business to collapse.

Gotcha.

Sarcasm aside, certainly some of the US Agriculture would collapse. I suspect some US Ag products would be too expensive to export, and so demand would fall off, and less farms would be viable in the new, smaller, higher-priced market.

I'm just not sure why I should give criminality a pass to support a distorted market.

Migrant workers and illegal aliens aren’t the same thing. It’s not illegal to hire migrant workers.

I don’t agree. There are parts of commiefornia that are absolutely beautiful, and some good conservative folks to. CA’s Central Valley has long been know as the nation’s breadbasket. From the bits of OR and W@ I’ve seen, there is some great and productive countryside there too.
I’d argue than rather than building a wall and giving up this wonderful and productive land, we need to figure out how to push all the GDCs into the ocean and decontaminate it.
