Look at them! Praying in the White House! With a priest and everything!

(I believe the priest is Justice Scalia's son, and his widow next to him.)

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

That was back in Feb 1 when Gorsuch was nominated by Trump.

I wonder why there wasn't much hay made of this by the opposition.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Probably because there are so many conservative wins in this photo the MSM did not want to give it any type of legs at all.

It's an obvious attempt to establish religion, right there on Federal property. Pretty dang blatant!

Just an FYI, I know every session of SCOTUS opens with prayer, and, TMK, so does every session of Congress.

Jeez. Can you imagine going to Scalia's kid for confession? I'm sure he's a compassionate and thoughtful man, but talk about "no excuses"!

Even Scalia declined doing that.

Seems to me if they were honoring a non-Christian deity, the GDC's would embrace such as a sign of tolerance and diversity.

Yeah!

Why are no Druids on the Supreme Court? There has never been one. Right now there are 5 Roman Catholics and 3 Jews.

Gorsuch was raised Catholic, now attends Episcopalian services.
