As title suggests, I'm interviewing for an IT position with the county sheriff's office and I'm actually quite nervous about it. I definitely know my stuff but interviewing is always stressful. (Yay autism. Roll Eyes)

I could use some good vibes if you got any to spare.

This is their interview, make sure they are good enough for you. That'll remove the nervousness and make you seem more confident.

Help desk. My last job was SOC and while I liked it I didn't LOVE it.

Makes sense, I didn't either but a few friends who work for the county texted me about it a couple months ago and I threw my hat in the ring.

I'm on the other side now. It's going to be a little while before I hear anything about it one way or the other, but I'd like to think it went well.

My wife works in HR. I know I know...

I bring it up because the best advice she ever gave me about job seeking is that everything is negotiable. Make sure you ask for the maximum allowed paid time off. Don't think you have to start at the minimum because you are new. Everything is negotiable and if you don't get it now, it will be way harder to get it later.

Godspeed!
