If Biden gets removed or quits, Kamala then becomes the first woman POTUS, with the added bonus of being black. In the future it would reduce reasons to vote for a bad candidate simply because she would be the first woman POTUS if elected.
Plenty of people voted for Barack and then for Hillary simply because of their demographics. We heard all kinds of complaints this election about how people opposed to Kamala are just racist or misogynist.
I can't think of a downside to her being in the official position of POTUS compared to Dr. Jill and whomever is pulling the strings today.
Mostly though I am anxious to get to Jan 20 and have this nightmare behind us.
