Skins2881One guy's take on the BLT Sammich...
Been enjoying them all year, squirrels made less of a dent this year. Had plenty and gave away 50+ more.

1967GoatWhile I definitely enjoy a BLT, it is not the best sandwich. That title goes to the Reuben. I think we've even had a poll on the best sandwich here. The Reuben won hands down.

The season continues, for a while. Some excellent heirloom tomatoes in my store now.
I call mine BMTs, rather than BLTs. On one hand, I don’t think lettuce is good enough to justify the space it requires, so no L. On the other hand, I consider mayo to be every bit as essential as B and T, so BMT.
One of my better ideas. I have the prettiest yellow heirloom setting on my counter right now.

Not for me--I don't like them at all. My #2 would be a grilled Tuna (no cheese).

BlackAgnesNO MAYO for Moi!
Catalina dressing instead, and weave raw bacon into a bread-size mat. Bake bacon in oven.
Yowza!

I use Miracle Whip. Don't like mayonnaise.

Jim ShugartWell, guess what we'll be having for supper tonight.

Pipe SmokerI use several seasonings for my BMT (Bacon, Mayo, Tomato) sandwiches: freshly ground black pepper (lots), seasoning salt, dill weed, and Cholula Green Pepper hot sauce. I put mayo into a tea cup then mix all of those seasonings into it.
Then when the tomato is sliced, the bacon is baked and the bread is toasted, I can just spread the herbed mayo on the toast, add the B and T, and start eating. Had one today – fit for a king!

Thousand Island dressing works as well. It's also good on Reubens.

Use olive oil instead of bacon grease. Your arteries will thank you.

You do realize we are talking about a sandwich where 50% of the ingredients are bacon and mayo right?
