Would you trust this guy? Hire him, but he should be closely monitored like the enemy that he was (or still is).

EPIC: Twenty-Five Year CNN Operations Manager Joins Project Veritas As Full-Time Executive Producer

By Jordan Conradson

Today Project Veritas announced that retired CNN Field Operations Manager Patrick Davis will join Project Veritas as its full-time executive producer.

Davis joined Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe on stage earlier at CPAC to make this groundbreaking announcement.

In 2019, The Gateway Pundit reported that Davis was recorded by an undercover Project Veritas journalist airing his frustrations with his network and former CNN President Jeff Zucker. This video was published in an “Expose CNN” series by Project Veritas.

After the FBI raided the homes of Project Veritas journalists and O’Keefe, Davis was inspired to help expose the truth.”What I’m doing right now is either brilliant, or it’s crazy, or maybe it’s a little bit of both,” said Davis.

Project Veritas reported,
quote:
Davis joined O’Keefe on stage for the announcement and discussed his new role at Project Veritas including his motivations for joining the non-profit.

Davis sat down for an interview with O’Keefe before his appearance on stage at CPAC where he spoke candidly about his previous career.

Patrick Davis shared more on why he left CNN and why he’s loving Project Veritas.
quote:
The reality is I was there for twenty-five years, therefore, half my life. I gave blood, sweat, and tears to that company. I love the company. I love the people there. I still do. There’s some amazing journalists that still work there, in the office and out in the field, especially. It got to a point where what we were doing, it seemed like, out in the field and gather news- how it was being translated on air, wasn’t what CNN was meant to be.

In the first five days of working at this company, I’ve had more conversations about ethical journalism than I did probably in the last ten years of my career…I mean, this is a young team, but they- but they love journalism. They love getting to the bottom of things.

This is the thing that I’ve learned in the months of being here. Everyone’s very dedicated, one hundred per cent buy-in. But the beauty of it is, we can save a little girl one night, or do a Pentagon Papers one night, and twenty-four hours later we’re doing, you know, dry Ramen nooddles going after Rachel Maddow. What I’m doing right now is either brilliant, or it’s crazy, or maybe it’s a little bit of both, right?

No way, James stated that the vetting process was intense, there is noway I would trust him. 25 yrs sitting in the CNN mindset, yet he didn’t leave. Personally I think it is not a smart move. Monitored, a guy with a flash drive and access to computers can do a lot of damage to a organization in a short amount of time.

Isn't that kinda like the CIA hiring an ex-KGB officer to head up one of their field offices?

I guess it depends on what kind of executive producing he'll be doing. In theory, operations management tends to be ideologically neutral. OTOH, after 25 years, does he really know what he wants and how he's going to go about doing this new job?

He could be legit, or not. Knowing how much the radical progressive Left wants to take PV down, If I was in James O’Keefe's shoes I would have him on a very short leash, for quite some time.

A spy would be bad enough in passing PV intel, techniques or sources, but an infiltrator could fabricate evidence, stage bogus whistleblowers, and quickly and permanently destroy the credibility that PV has worked to establish.

Spy or not, I'd question his judgement on this statement alone...

The left operates in the open these days. PV just puts on film and audio what we already know. Has anyone been indicted on any charges of anything they exposed? When they had the abortion people talking about how they sell baby parts and they are all driving around in high end sport vehicles. Did anything result from that?

Not that I don't appreciate what PV does but I wish there was some fruit to their labor.

25 years ago CNN was well respected. This could work out well, and I doubt that O'Keefe will let him stay if he goes woke.

Yup; pointing out the truth or hypocrisy never works.

We are still missing the one thing we desperately need: ACCOUNTABILITY

He wasn’t kept at CNN for 25 years because he wasn’t playing ball with their ideology. I wouldn’t trust the guy to clean the toilets.

Someone at Project Veritas is going to look pretty stupid when this thing blows up.

"Here, make yourself at home and watch us how we do our thing and who our contacts are."

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I once worked for French couple, managing a French bakery/bistro during college.

They would routinely drop money (single 5, 10 or 20 bill) on the floor to see what employees would do with said found money.

I'm sure none of you ever stayed on a job, long after you started experiencing dissatisfaction, either out of inertia or because you hoped things would turn around.

Note this, from 12131's post:
quote:

In 2019, The Gateway Pundit reported that Davis was recorded by an undercover Project Veritas journalist airing his frustrations with his network and former CNN President Jeff Zucker. This video was published in an “Expose CNN” series by Project Veritas.

After the FBI raided the homes of Project Veritas journalists and O’Keefe, Davis was inspired to help expose the truth.”What I’m doing right now is either brilliant, or it’s crazy, or maybe it’s a little bit of both,” said Davis.

So he's been dissatisfied with CNN's direction for at least three years. I'm guessing more.

O'Keefe is no fool.

Ironically, Davis is bailing on CNN just as CNN gets new ownership and, if the new ownership's biggest investor has its way, will be radically changing its wayward course.
