Roughly 10,000 square foot lots in the outer suburbs around here are going for about $40k.
But lots less than 6500 square feet aren't allowed, so a 5,000 square foot lot isn't doable.
However, if a lot with dimensions like you're asking were to be allowed, the math would suggest probably around $20k-$25k.

So a ~1 acre lot at the corner of a county Hiway a mile down my road is for sale for a year and now it’s down to 450k. Ready to pave and build except zoned light office medical so if you want to build a outpatient medical or dental office have at it
Next lot in is 5 acres with a house that needs to be bulldozed and the rest is thick woods so that needs tk be cleared. $140k including the house that is likely not habitable. I assume zoned residential only but it’s county so you could do about whatever you want. Clearing the land of the house and woods would not be cheap. Likely could subdivide into 1 acre parcels.

Depends on the neighborhood around here (River Region near New Orleans). Some can go for more than $100,000 or as low as $5,000.

Residential lots are nominally 25x75 feet. Typical empty lot price is $1.2 mil, though variable. Not too many empty lots here, and many lots are actually 1.5 or 2 x standard.
Mixed use zoning here is almost certainly not vacant lots.

He was being honest. Balze lives in or around Park City, Utah. PC is one of the most exclusive postal codes in the South Western States. The question asked about his town. Frankly a million could be low depending…

Okie dokie then.
I appreciate the answer's guys.
Looking at a lot in an area that I would like to possibly retire too. Lots are hard to come by. This one is south of $100k. Smaller than I would prefer. But could accommodate a small home.

The dump next door to is asking $180. Its kind of new to the market, only being for sale for 19 full years. I've considered buying it and knocking it down. Or going in halves with the guy on the other side (making it 30x100). I'd do that. Gawd I hate the Iranian terrorist that has owned it this whole time. He's doubled his asking price over the years.
My guess is that getting the lot will at least add that much to our homes values. But its cheaper to leave continue to decay . Until 2/18/24 whwn my CD expires, I don't have the money.

Looking on Zillow, most of the lots around here are .30 acre, or thereabouts. Those lots sold for $100k or more. There is a small lot, just big enough for a duplex and an ultra-micro yard, it is 0.08 acre. It is for sale for $79k. What is so odd to me, is when I was a kid, this land and so much of the land around here was almost worthless. Now, it’s insanely overpriced.

Most people buy a house for 1/2 million and tear it down to rebuild or should I say remodel because they can tear down almost the entire house leaving a wall and rebuild a new house and get a huge tax break. I live on "the Circle" you will find no lots available, a tear down is required for big $$$$$$.

I’m outside the “city”. 1+ acre lots start around ~$135k.
