pace40What are you doing to keep mice/rats away from your vehicles?
Feral cats...area is loaded with them. Turned off the motion lights so the cats would be more comfortable. Just use motion alarms now.

smlsigI’m a big fan of the glue traps.
When I discovered the beginnings of a mice nest in my Porsche that is stored for the winter months I called my pest guy to come over. He put some bait traps inside and out and gave me a bunch of the glue traps to place around the garage doors. In a matter of 2 weeks I had caught 4 of the little bastards in addition to a couple of small snakes and some bugs.
I replace them about every month or so and in the past 2 years haven’t had any issues.

sourdough44Just mimic what the ‘pros’ do. My neighbor had a mouse problem, called the exterminator. The exterminator went heavy on the bait houses on the outside perimeter of the home.
This is something the homeowner could do.
I like a few more layers, a few conventional traps or maybe a bucket trap in certain locations, inside.
It’s always an ongoing preventative, you can never get rid of some, then let the guard down.

BluecobraIf you get bait houses, get the weighted kind. Racoons will carry them off. The stations I have weigh about 25 lbs and have still been moved at times. The racoons love the bait blocks.

irreverentDo your best not to use poison: Cats dogs, wildlife(besides what you’re trying to kill), including raptors.
I’m almost certain one of my dogs was poisoned; our neighbor behind us has pigeons and therefore has rats that he’s bait trapping.
All it takes is for one of the rats to eat the poison and walk across into my yard and yes, my dogs do their job. Not very well, but well enough apparently. I lost my favorite dog this year.

casEven rodents don't want to get in my cars.

Though I did begrudgingly have to put the glove compartment back in my Jeep this spring, the birds were starting to build a nest in the dash.
