amalsIf all goes well I’m going to drive to Ohio and buy a new to me truck tomorrow! Tacoma
I have a '96 Tacoma Extra cab. I love it. I wouldn't want a double cab, and the extra is just what I like rather than the standard cab that my '85 4x4 had; some extra room behind the front seat, and the ability to carry passenger(s) in the back if needed. As long as that is not the priority, the extra works great. I think you'll love it.

And no one above the age of five is going to be comfortable back there much past the mailbox. Hell, the back of a club cab sucks for an adult over about 5'-9" for very far.
It doesn't sound like you've ever been in one. I'm 6'0 and it works fine. The front seat can scooch forward a bit and I can either spread 'em or slant to one side. Would I like to go cross country like that? Of course not. Will it work to go across town? Hell yes. The Gen 3 access cab has much more space that then Gen 1 access cab (I had a '96 Taco with one).
I didn't spend that much $$$ on a Tacoma because of resale value. I did it because it's a damn good truck that will work for me for a long time.

BennerP220Yeah, I am extremely happy with this access cab. Exactly what I needed. I can take my boy and a friend across the county if needed. I don’t carry many passengers. I love having the longer bed, too. This truck came with the flip bed extender tube thing. It’s nice because I can close off the bed all the way to the end of the open tailgate or flipped in, I keeps small items contained. It also has a bed cover. The tailgate even locks!
