On occasion, I will wear an old SigArms hat that I won in a Karma here. Long time ago

dking271I used to only wear those things when going to the range or match. While I usually don’t wear such things, I’m not going to worry if people get offended or even notice if I choose to wear firearms branded gear.

jbcummingsThe only thing I have is a Buck Mark cap and as far as I know it’s only been recognized once. That was at a doctor’s office and the receptionist broke out a big grin for me and said “I know what that means!”.

That reminded me. I used to wear a hat with the FN logo on it whenever I flew on business. Nobody ever knew what it was and I was kind of chuckling inside.
Until I did a job in Orange County California. I was returning the car to the John Wayne airport and because they can't move the rental car lots they have Sheriffs Department guys search the car when you bring it back.
Sheriff indicates I should roll down the window and I do. He looks at the hat and asks if I'm an employee. I tell him no, just an enthusiast. He then asks if I have any weapons on me. I say no. Then he tells me to pop the trunk without getting out of the car and I do.
Search over, I'm sent on my way.

How recent was this? I used to fly in and out of John Wayne a lot.

drill sgtNot outright gun related but wear a Veteran US Army cap with a 2nd Infantry Division pin / Ssgt (E-6) pin / Crossed Cannons (field artillery) pin / Korea pin. But when I spot someone wearing any firearms related either give them a thumbs-up or possible comment about like what they are commenting about................................... Same goes for sticker / decals on vehicle glass and or bumpers but personally believe that these stickers are a magnet for people as a possible sign that there could be weapons in the vehicle possible ripe for a vehicle breakin ........... drill sgt.

Probably around 8 years ago. You gotta love the noise abatement rules there and what it does to the takeoff routine.
I was coming in for a landing once there and a private plane taxied onto the runway when we were maybe a hundred feet off the runway. Noise abatement went out the window and we made a fast full power 45 degree takeoff out of there. The pilot waited until we were over the ocean to tell us about the private plane. Probably took him that long to clean out his shorts.

SW_SigI occasionally wear firearms-related clothing but I provide IT support for a state police agency.

bobtheelfThe only one I wear is my BCM hat because it's obscure enough that anyone who would object to it would never know what it is.

BillyBonesNYI wear an LBT tactical nylon t shirt and a crye shooters cap with “dirka dirka” patch

DrewRBack about a decade ago I wore a BCM hat that had an American flag on the front and BCM on the back, it tended to be my go-to weekend hat until one day I was standing in Starbucks waiting on my plain black coffee when a fellow gunnie saw the hat and struck up a quiet conversation with me. I never wore it again after that encounter even though he was just being friendly, I do not like to be noticed.

Pizza BobHalf my wardrobe is gun related, while the other half is car related. I can't remember any response to either.

Ryanp225No, I wear absolutely no clothing that signals my politics or anything of the like.
Same with any stickers on my truck. To me they scream "break into this vehicle for a free gun".
I am the grey man.

shovelheadDespite living in a red county I’m not too comfortable tipping off anybody of what might or not be on my person.
My Jeep has a few stickers, ORV and Trail Permits, my Jeep club and one from a state ORV group. A Harley Davidson University sticker together with a M/C club supporter sticker and a police and fire flag, nothing firearm related though.

I wonder what they would make of a T-shirt I got nearly 39 years ago at an airshow at the then Carswell AFB in Ft Worth. It has an F/A -18 on it below the words 'EAT SHIITE'.
The back has a nose on F/A-18, along the bottom of which says 'Middle Eastern Terrorist Disposal System'
It doesn't fit but I still have it. Boy I wish I was still that size.
My brother-in-law had a similar shirt with a fighter from the company he's with (different plane and contractor). One day several years ago, we were out and about when he walked into a store and a woman stared at him as he walked by. She said, "What an asshole, that's terrible."
I looked at her and said quietly, "Ma'am, he works for the company that makes that plane, and us having those planes is one of the reasons you're not speaking Farsi or buried in a deep dirt trench somewhere."
She turned very red and walked off.

220-9erI think the average person walks around not noticing, much but they are more likely to spot a gun related logo than they are the actual firearm, if it's concealed at all.
I've never found a good reason to help them in any way.
