You can have your Bill Belichicks (who is in third place). Shula is also the only coach of a perfect season.

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

RIP Coach! As a lifelong Dolphins fan, this saddens me. I don't watch much NFL anymore, but he was one of the greatest.

While I was never a Dolphin fan, I was always a Shula fan. He was a class act leading a classy team. RIP Coach

90-years...that's a long time.

He couched two organizations into perennial winners, Colts and Dolphins. He wasn't an innovator but, he utilized his players and put them in position to succeed. He's easily a top-10 all-time coach

Just wish his steak houses were more realistic about their value Roll Eyes

The cause of death was not immediately known, but a source has confirmed it is not related to the Coronavirus pandemic.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Growing up in So Fla in the 70's Shula and the Dolphins were the first team I ever rooted for. Still a 'Phins fan these many sad seasons since the glory days of Shula, Mercury Morris, Bob Griese, Paul Warfield et al, and then into the Marino & Marks Brothers years.

Rest in Peace, Don and thanks for all those great years and great memories.

Dolphins were my favorite team from 68/69 until mid 80s. I think it was their unfiorm colors. Father and one Brother were Raiders fans with oldest being a Steelers fan. I had dolphind jacket, pjs, hat, jacket. I loved them. Then Czonka, Kick and Morris. Man those guys were just awesome. Sad to hear that Shula passed. I just read he was 90 years old. He lived a great long life! RIP Coach Shula.
