I enjoy their ‘regular’ beer as well as their seasonal and other special offerings. The company is well grounded and they support their local communities in many ways as well as the U.S. Military. Links in their web-site - Giving Back Lagers for Heroes I won’t post the details here as they can be found on the internet, but when Dick Yeungling favored PDJT for POTUS and caught a lot of flak from the perpetually aggrieved crowd, he held his ground and survived the personal attacks and boycott campaign just fine! The success of a solution usually depends upon your point of view |
It has been my go to lager since the mid 80s when my parents move to Bucks county and my dad tried out the local brewery. For years I had to bring it home with me when I would visit them. I was teaching a leadership class in Key West when PO2 Yuengling showed up for the class. He was part of the family but not involved in the family business. He shared some cool stories and insight about their expansion plans. “We truly live in a wondrous age of stupid.” - 83v45magna "I think it's important that people understand free speech doesn't mean free from consequences societally or politically or culturally." -Pranjit Kalita, founder and CIO of Birkoa Capital Management

friend brought some back from PA in the mid 90'sand later I found out I could get it thru one of my wine sellers, not much of a lager fan any more, been mainly drinking ales, but before that Yuengling was my favorite, not sure if they still make Chesterfield Ale, which is a great beer as well https://chandlersfirearms.com/chesterfield-armament/

I noticed today that they are selling it at the local Costco here in Kansas middle America. Pragmatism: the relentless pursuit of seeing things as they really are.

Cracked a can and poured it into a frosty chilled glass. Very thick foam. Better taste, more body, and less watery than normal American beers. NICE! Don't know how I missed the stuff growing up in upstate NY. I do recall Canadian Molson being a fav (current stuff brewed by Coors is NOTHING like the old offering). Looking forward to when Yuengling is easily available in this area! Certifiable member of the gun toting, septuagenarian, bucket list workin', crazed retiree, bald is beautiful club! Live for today. Tomorrow will cost more |
I have a list of items that I can get here, which others have a hard time finding local to them. Example: V-Tail and his garlic pickles. I also have a list of things I wish I could get here, but are only regional offerings elsewhere. Example: Moxie soda. Only available in Maine and possibly NH. Whenever a road trip comes up, I trot out the lists and see if I can either satisfy a craving or grant a karma to a friend. Guess I'll add Yuengling to the first list - as soon as I finish the one I'm sipping now! suaviter in modo, fortiter in re

If you like Yuengling in a can, try it bottled. I prefer bottled and think you will too. If you're goin' through hell, keep on going. Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it. You might get out before the devil even knows you're there. NRA ENDOWMENT LIFE MEMBER

Would love to but again nothing Yuengling is available locally. This case of cans was brought here from back East and gifted to me.
Yeah like 1919 Root Beer from MN which folks who visit here and taste are amazed with. Can't get the stuff many places outside of the mid-west. https://www.1919rootbeer.com/ Certifiable member of the gun toting, septuagenarian, bucket list workin', crazed retiree, bald is beautiful club! Get my pies outta the oven! |
I know exactly how you missed it. It wasn’t in New York. Until about 20 years ago you could not find Yuengling beer outside of Pennsylvania. They started slowly expanding in the late 90’s and then sometime in the 2000’s started brewing it in Florida for the Southern market.

I'm down to my last two bottles. Tried it this past year for the first time. Tasty stuff! I'll buy more when it rolls around this year. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

From today's issue of the Press-Enterprise: BLOOMSBURG -- Beer will be sold at the Bloomsburg Fair this year for the first time ever. Fair board members voted last month to partner with Yuengling to sell its Traditional Lager, its mango- flavored Bongo Fizz and its low-calorie lager, Flight, inside the grandstand. The fair will be held this year from September 20th through the 28th at the Bloomsburg Pennsylvania Fairgrounds. “Elections have consequences, and at the end of the day, I won.” – Barack Hussein Obama, January 23, 2009

Lost, but making good time |
I just moved to Florida and I'm happy it's available here. It's probably supplied by the Tampa plant and it does taste a little different, but it's still really good. It would have been just one other thing I missed about PA. The only thing I have to remember is when I order one at a bar or restaurant in Florida, I have to specify "Yuengling" Lager. Back in PA if you want one all you have to do is say "Lager" if you want a Yuengling Lager. Bye for a while, guard the fort. - My Dad

I live in central Illinois so I go to Indiana and bring back my Yuengling. Last year I brought back 36 cases. Now that we own a place in Southern Alabama, I always bring back 5 or 6 cases.
