Noon or Noom? I saw stuff about Noom but havent tried it. Im down 40 lbs with keto, so I can tell you that works for sure.

I tried it. The constant article reading and AI coaches giving pre canned feedback sucked. I dropped it after the trial was over.

You can do it yourself...

Intermittent fasting with keto diet...plenty of research, videos, sites,etc.

Lost 65 so far...

That doesn't sound like anything I would want to do. Ill try keto like others have recommended.

I don't really know much about it.

I'm just looking for something that gives a little direction or coaching. I doubt I'm over 2000 calories a day. So I'm doing something wrong.

Im 42. I get that I'm not going to lose it like when I was in my 20s. But still, shouldn't be this hard.

Keto might surprise you. Im in my late 30s, and I dropped my first 20 lbs in 2 months easy on keto- without exercise. There is a bit of a learning curve with keto for the first week or 2. For me it was focusing on fats vs protein intake. I highly recommend using an app to help you track your macros at least till you get the hang of it. Dont worry about calorie count at all when starting. Focus on eating the right things, avoiding the bad, and dont starve yourself. Then you can move on to fasting periods and what not.
You will lose weight, have more energy, and feel better in general.

It's not as militant as Weight Watchers...I'm enjoying it so far. And I've lost 3 pounds over the last two weeks.

Ok let me give you a little tip.
Download a "calorie-counter" app and use it.
I use one from Nutritionix .
It really isn't that hard to keep up with the calories.
You see THAT is a major factor when losing/gaining weight aka calories taken in vs calories burned.
You would be surprised on how it can keep you honest in your calories and also helpful in getting a balanced diet ~ not just a counter.
But list everything and the app also measures weight (I would do at the same time each day like when you first get up).
It is the mental discipline that make this work.
No more "assuming" you are only eating XXXX cals.
Maybe 2K cals is too much and maybe not depending on your exercise routine (important too).
You would be surprised on how well you can control your diet when you are watching it.
Then all you have to do is eat the right balance and exercise helps.
