A few years back (2016) I had an Amish crew build me a pole barn. A couple weeks ago I had the same crew build a 20'x40' pavillion/carport/boat shed. A little over 9' clearance and an open 40' span. No center pole to back in to. The Amish crew is now a father and his 3 teenage sons. I wasn't there to see them raise and mount the 40' trusses but they did it by hand with just the 4 of them. Cost was a little under $7k and I bought the package from Menards. ________________________ God spelled backwards is dog

sweet, that will make a great bird nesting site as I see you are just outside tornado ally , I will ask. Is there any kind of anchoring system that we can't see? Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency. Neck Ties, Hats and ammo brass, Never ,ever touch'em w/o asking first

Very nice. The Amish build quality items that will last a much longer time than most others in the business. Pride and quality are priority.Congrats.

Nice. Looks like you could almost pull in the front right side and drive out the left.

Bird shit happens. Each post has 2 bags of concrete and they are in 4' deep. 12 bags for 5 posts. Used 5/8" j anchor bolts 10" long embeded in concrete to mount MiTec hold downs on each post. Top is overbuilt. It may not last forever but at age 69 I expect it will outlive me. I'm giving my next door neighdor about 10' of ground in exchange for landscaping and he's going to build 30' x 40' garage with a basement on the back side so that will cut down on the west wind coming off the river. https://www.menards.com/main/h...445508999-c-8849.htm ________________________ God spelled backwards is dog
