Ass. Found this in my garage. Paying the rent, I guess.

Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here.

Although sometimes distracting, there is often a certain entertainment value to this easy standard.

Good kitty.

We have one rescued cat, who lived outside, and she is a stone killer. The others are lazy, spoiled no-goodniks.

I'm not sure how proficient my cats (5 inside, 1 regular outside) are, but I'm not bothered by squirrels, rats, or mice. Opossums, OTOH, are another matter.

We ended up with my grandkids cat out at the farm. She comes inside to sleep and eat some kibble but is outside hunting and killing things the rest of the time. Leaves dead things on the porch all the time. A natural born killer. I thnk the Lab is afraid of her. Good thing they don't get any bigger. I like your cat's style. Kill the rats in a way that sends a message.

When he's in your kitchen, try rolling doughnuts past him.

We have a semi-civilized outside cat who regularly feasts on mice, rats, chipmunks, voles, etc. However, under no circumstances would he EVER attack any of the members of the squirrel mob that resides in my area of the woods. Those guys are one tough group of sum-bitches. If by chance, one of their members "accidently perishes' while in the midst of raiding my birdfeeder, you would think his buddies would retreat in fear of their lives. But no, the next-one-up attitude means that the next raider just climbs up and throws the unfortunate one ass over the side of the feeder and proceeds with the raid - kinda like they have British Redcoat blood in them and just step over the dead body of their fellow soldier and march on to the sound of the guns.

I think our cat thinks of his neighborhood much like Rodney Dangerfield's report on his neighborhood. I don't think less of him. I figure a cat's gotta know his limitations, too.

That's a disturbing corpse, and I can almost assure you that it was worse than it appears. My cat generally toys with the mice for several minutes while killing them.

Opossums never impressed me as especially mean or tough, but I’ve seen them “get the bulge” on cats and raccoons. Must be their ugliness.

They have big, heavy claws. The outdoor cat(s) all seem to just ignore the possums, and vice-versa.

I feed birds and small varmints mainly to entertain my cat. They interest him, but only in passing. His true calling and passion is hunting bugs. Any shape, size or type. Watching him snag an airborne fly is impressive.

I've heard they're so nonaggressive that you can pull a mother's babies out of her pouch without getting bitten. They just look nasty, and open their mouths filled with sharp teeth to pant like a dog.

We believe arming our fellow Americans – both physically and philosophically – helps them fulfill our Founding Fathers' intent with the Second Amendment: To serve as a check on state power.
