92fstechJust got back from voting. No line, no fuss...the whole trip including the drive took about 10 minutes.

Hoping for a good result.

Sig2340I voted.
When asked for my identification, I handed the official my Utah Non-resident Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP).
What a kerfuffle ensued. In the end, despite black letter reading of the kinds of ID accepted that says "Any other identification issued by a government entity" the head official stilled phoned the Registrar of Elections for an OK.
So, if you live somewhere with a voter ID law, take the most unusual form of iD you have.

mdblantonVoted on the way to work. Fairly good sized line but the process ran smoothly.

egregoreNot worried about my district (TN-1). Not having had a D rep since 1881, "Democratic challenger" for US Representative is almost an oxymoron. But I do hope for R majorities in both houses to put the skids under FJB and his gang of idiots.

Syngin1066Voted at 7:30 this morning Since I voted R, it was only once and I’m not dead. Big lines, but the whole affair took about 30 mins.

cslingerIn all seriousness and jokes aside.
Please vote. I know it can feel like it doesn’t matter but please drag yourself to the poll. I myself have reached the point of does it even matter and it’s hard but worst case it doesn’t hurt. Best case your vote helps or changes the tide. So don’t let apathy win the day. Go vote.

ensigmaticMy wife and I arrived at the polling place at about 9 a.m. It was far busier than it had been for the primaries, but not as busy as I've seen it in the past. (Then again: We probably got there just after the on-the-way-to-work rush, which was when I usually voted before retiring.)

doublesharpMy wife and I got in line at 9:54 and were on our way home at 10:02. I was #200, Indiana uses paper ballots and picture id required. Turnout was a bit heavier than usual.

DJ_BostonBusy voting in my district in Collier County FL. Almost felt sorry for the old lady fool holding a Demmings sign by the polling station. Almost.. Naples is solidly red anyway, and my wife and oldest son(stepson) just got their citizenship and all 3 of us voted Red

I thought we liked voter ID laws?
And why make it hard on the poll workers? Sure, they are supposed to accept any government ID. But they aren't well trained, experienced, and are afraid of making a mistake. Why give them an ID that will make waves if you have your regular driver's license? It will just make work, and take up time.

Then you ask them if you have to check your gun to vote.
