I probably will check out Wrangler and Lee’s since those are two brands I can source locally and be able to try them on first.

Carhartt jeans are really tough to beat. There are so many "extras" that they do to make them more durable and comfortable to wear.

Years back, I always told myself that they are just too damn expensive but thats pretty much all I wear now. Maybe I got smarter as I got older. I have never found them for 20 bucks though. Normal price is around mid 30's but our local farm and garden store runs sales all the time for 25 or 30 per cent off. I wait for those.

A guy from the Tacomaworld forum started making these pants. I needed to find a replacement for the Prana pants I have been wearing, and these are quite nice. Not necessarily jeans, but they are incredibly durable, and insanely comfortable.

Recently bought Origin (Factory) Jeans.

I am pleased.

I've been wearing Vertx jeans for a while now and like them a lot. I think I'm gonna order a pair of the pants that Beancooker posted above. Pricey but they look great.

If you don't mind them being made overseas (Vietnam), Duluth Trading Company's Ballroom Flex jeans are the most comfortable jeans I've ever worn.

Maybe not as popular but I like them and they last.

Another reason is they typically don't have or develop thread lines in the fabric.

I really like Lee jeans. It’s been a long time since I bought a pair of Levi’s. It will be even longer before I buy any. Like in never.

Wrangler regular cut jeans. I have been wearing them for years and was an easy replacement for Levis.

There’s a store near me that sells factory “seconds” of Wrangler jeans for cheap. I try to always have a couple of pairs in the closet for yard work etc. It just takes time & patience to sort and find the best of the current crop available.

I didn't know about Texas Jeans. Really no excuse not to go with an American-made jean, when their prices are what they are. AACC is perhaps a bit more than some folks want to spend, but Texas Jeans seems super reasonable.

For those who've bought and worn the Texas Jeans, do they run true to your actual waist measurement? I know many tend to underrepresent your actual measurements... in other words you might wear a 40 but your waist actually measures 41 or 42".

Like their prices and love that they're American made.

Literally just ordered a pair, will update when they arrive.
I like that they do 1" increments on inseam.
I'm a 32x34 in most, but that's usually just a bit short, so went with a 32x35.

They have a pretty decent looking return policy, but you just have to cover hipping both ways Roll Eyes

Arrived today. Initial fit is a bit snug just below the waist, otherwise they fit pretty true to size, compared to the 32x34 Old Navy jeans they're replacing.
I ordered the standard, the relaxed fit may be a bit better initially, but I'm sure these will break in to a comfy fit.

Deep pockets & 6 belt loops. I ordered a 32x35, and they seem a bit more than 1" longer than my usual 32x34. But, I usually wear boots, so it's not a big issue, but they'd likely rub the ground with regular shoes.

Well whatever you do, don't buy the jeans that are built like a cheap hotel.

Diamond Gusset jeans are good too - used to wear those. Texas Jeans seem to shrink quite a bit - might be why they seem a bit longer than normal.

No change in waist feel, but they may have lost around 1/2" in length after the first wash. Less bunched up at the bottom as compared to yesterday.

Have been wearing the "Rustler" brand made by the makers of "Wrangler" for years. At 1/2 or greater price difference of the other major brands. Blue or black. They seem to wear quiet well. Available at my local Wal-Mart stores. ..................................... drill sgt.
