HuskySigLooking for a recommendation: jeans
I'm hoping the SigForum braintrust can help me out with a substitute for the Levi's 559 jeans I've been wearing for the better part of the last decade (not the same pair). I'd rather spend my money with a company that's more aligned with my values, so which brands should I consider as a replacement? Thanks!

lbjLee jeans is all I wear.
Maybe not as popular but I like them and they last.
Another reason is they typically don't have or develop thread lines in the fabric.

Opus Dei Texas Jeans They're actually made in North Carolina, but I think the owners have a place in or get denim from Texas. Prices are ~$30-$35/pair with a few fit choices and you can specify your own custom size of inseam-waist. It takes ~two weeks for an order to get to you as I gather everything is made on order.

WatergoatBeen to the Texas Jeans factory and outlet store a few times. They also make a lot of military uniforms, and sell very slight seconds for very cheap.

PatenI have to pick whoever makes the fat jeans. I am wearing Dickies brand at the moment. A lot of brands don't go above 44 inch waists on a lot of their styles.

sig2392I replaced my Levis with Duluth Jeans,They go on sale often for $35/pair.
The also have a couple of grades of lined and winter wear I switch to when it gets cold out.
I have been really comfortable walking in blizzards in their winter jeans.

P250UA5This thread is timely, as I'm down to about 3 pairs that don't have a hole in the R leg just above the knee.
May give the TX Jeans a try.

SFCUSARETFor the past couple of years I have getting my jeans at Tractor Supply company. Their Ridgecut jeans are damn good and tough. Nothing fancy, no sparkles or swirly patterns on the pockets(hope none of ya wear crap like that

I've actually had pretty good results with these as well. I like the mesh pockets and I use the kidney pocket on one side door a spare pistol magazine.
Primary Arms had/has one of the washes on closeout at $30 a pair last week.

jed7s9bI’ve been happy with Pointer Brand. They are pricy unless on sale. Round House seems a bit sturdier or thicker. Both can be had in just plain old jeans. Round House did show a long back order time but within a couple of weeks of my order they had shortened the inseam on an available size and filled my order.
