Yet the pictures I saw looked like people climbed up about 12-15 feet onto a flat spot?
The main group only wanted to hang a banner from a lower foundation wall, which they did earlier in the day. A lone protestor subsequently went up to the actual foot of the statue, quite a bit higher than where the banner was set up. Interestingly, a spokesperson for the group initially said that the rogue SJW was not connected to their organization; later, it was admitted that the woman was involved with their group, but that no-one else had been aware of her plan to ascend to a higher level. |

Who is going to pay for them to come back ? the person climbing the statue. I don't think so. This kind of shit is getting out of hand. When they catch this person they need to send them to jail for a long time. They should make an example of them. Then maybe people will think before they do stupid shit like this again. If they are not US citizens they should send them back where they came from.
My thoughts exactly. |

Ethics, antics, and ballistics
| I wonder if they realize that going back to the 1800's there were points of entry for LEGAL immigrants. Heck, my grandparents used them in the 50's and 1960. Physical barriers and country borders, as well as humane treatment and legal immigration are not mutually exclusive. I think someone should draw them an explanation...in crayon. Ever hear of Ellis Island? No? I guess history education isn't what it used to be.

Somebody in a spider man outfit went and climbed the side of the Hancock building, the mayor ordered the fire dept. to hit him with fire hoses from above while he clung to the side of the building with suction cups on the window glass panels. Problem solved! Can't remember anybody trying that again in Chicago.

| This POS got charged with 3 Misdemeanors. Only a Misdemeanor!!! How crazy is that? She destroyed so many peoples visit to Lady Liberty. As a naturalized American and Veteran, I take great offense to this illegal immigration tolerance and abuse. Sorry rant over. |

Actually, Ellis Island is an adjacent island to Liberty Island where the statue is located. flashguy

| How very brave of her not going go back to her country of origin to protest their treatment of women and children - try to improve her country. Oh that's right she'd get raped and chopped up and possibly her family killed. But no, come here and protest our free country, on our symbols of freedom. Sorry no respect for people like this.
